Ortha M. Beadle, age 92, a lifelong Romeo/Washington area resident, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Richmond Township on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Ortha was born April 21, 1925 in Romeo, the daughter of Arthur and Ada (Lefever) See. She said the best decision she ever made was when she accepted Christ as her Savior on March 13, 1938. Ortha graduated from Romeo High School in 1943, and then graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a teaching certificate on April 18,1946. She married William Beadle on August 24, 1946 at the First Baptist Church (corner of VanDyke & Benjamin Street). She went on numerous short term mission trips and worked with the Dorcus and Martha Missionary circles to make quilts and provide support for missionaries. Her hobbies included reading, praying, sewing, and eating dessert. Her passions were telling people about how their lives could be changed by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and praying for missionaries, family, and anyone who would ask for prayer. Grandchildren include Nicole (Dennis) Mrosewske, Sarah (David) Pearce, Monica (Robert) Rogers, Dr. Kevin (Dr. Jayme) Beadle, Cheryl Beadle (Brian Snyder), & Nicole Butler along with 12 great grandchildren.
