Pamela J Cushingberry

Pamela J. Cushingberry, age 71, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township., MI. Pam was born in Romeo, the daughter of Herman and Della (Womble) Bell. After graduating from Romeo High School in 1968, Pam went to nursing school at St Joseph Hospital in Mt Clemens, and then worked there for many years. She married Clyde Cushingberry Sr. on April 4, 1970 in Romeo. After working with the hospital, she started working for the Romeo Schools where she worked for over 18 years, starting out in security & attendance, and for last couple of years, helping the kids at Amanda Moore. She was always helping out at the football/basketball games with security. She was well known and well liked and respected by everyone. Pam is survived by her husband Clyde Cushingberry Sr., children: Tonya and Clyde Cushingberry Jr., both of Romeo along with one loving grandson, Jordan. Siblings surviving include Sandy Bell, Darlene (Jerome) Lee, and Kimberly Bell. Pam is also survived by in-laws Donald Ray Cushingberry, Roxanne (George) Taylor, Marvin (Debbie) Cushingberry, Bernetta (Clarence) Crigler, Mark Cushingberry all of Romeo and Mary (Moss) Cushingberry of Sterling Heights. Also Sherrie Monroe who was raised with them after her mother passed away. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Yvonne Nelson, Patricia Bell, Herschel Cushingberry Jr., and sister-in-law Shelly (Woods) Smith. Funeral services will be private on Saturday. Public visitation for Pam will be on Friday from 3-8 PM. Due to covid restrictions , please keep your stay to a minimum as we expect lots of friends, family, and school personnel.
