Patricia A. Schwarz

Patricia A. (Pat) Schwarz, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023 wrapped in the loving embrace of her family at the Legacy Center in the Orchard Grove Medical facility. She was a resident of Richmond since 1975. Pat was born on March 17, 1939 in Warren, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Wancour) Beste. She married the love of her life, Dan Schwarz, on January 12, 1957 at St. Veronica Catholic Church. Pat was a loyal member of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Romeo for 40 years.

Pat was a joy to be around and had a smile that lit up every room. Her passion was making others happy through her cooking and baking, especially for her husband, Dan. Pat loved spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards especially with her sisters and her family. Pat loved the Christmas holidays and made each year so very special.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Dan; children Daniel Schwarz, Joan (Mark) Henderson, and Jean (Mike) Dery; grandchildren Danielle (Kirk) Christoff, Ron (Cate) McKiernan, Brian (Katie) Klein,Megan (Chris) Tresnak, and Scott (Anne) Henderson; 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister Matilda (Tillie) Hessell. She was preceded in death by grandsons Dennis Jr., Matthew, and Michael Klein along with siblings Leo Beste, Frances Deneweth, Edmund Beste, Mary Provost, Sister Dolores Beste, Theresa VanThomme, and Agnes Malburg Janicki.

The family honors the memory of Pat and invites you to visit and share memories on Thursday, December 28th, from 2:00 – 8:00 at Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo. Rite of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Romeo. Visitation before the mass begins at 9:30. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Capuchin Retreat Center of Washington Township would be appreciated. Entombment took place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
