Patricia Louise Blaszkowski

Patricia Louise Blaszkowski, age 89, formerly of Detroit, Roseville, Clinton Township & Romeo passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Birmingham Michigan. Pat was born July 3, 1932 in Lake Linden, Michigan, the daughter of George & Mabel (Raade) Duquette. She married Thomas R. Blaszkowski on May 15, 1954 at St Agnes Catholic Church in Detroit who preceded her in death on December 6, 2005. Pat was a loving and devoted Wife and Mother. Family was very important to her. Pat loved unconditionally and served selflessly. She hosted numerous gatherings around her table and organized annual family reunions. She made fast friends in the neighborhoods in which she lived and continued those friendships throughout her life. Pat enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, exercising, bowling, and golf. As the Secretary on the bowling and golf leagues, Pat, in her 60’s, taught herself to create computer spreadsheets for recording scores and tracking team placements. For several years, she worked as a Precinct Election Officer at the Washington Township Hall. She led an arthritis exercise class at the Romeo-Bruce-Washington Senior Center for 21 years, made quilts for veterans, and volunteered with The Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She socialized with friends at her Breakfast Club, Lunch Bunch and Euchre Club. Pat volunteered her time and creative talents to her children’s schools and activities, and projects at church and in the community. Pat is survived by her children: Susan (Thomas) Randall, James (Chris Grey) Blaszkowski , Michael (Gail) Blaszkowski, and Robert Blaszkowski, sister Carole (Bernard) Lezell and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pat was preceded in death by her son Thomas M. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 5 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Kramarczyk officiating with burial to follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 1-8 PM at the Funeral Home and on Saturday from 10 AM till time of service at 11 AM.
