Patrick L. Rinke

Patrick L. Rinke, age 60, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 28, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Pat was born August 29, 1952 at the Community Hospital in Bruce Township, the son of Lawrence and Catherine (Christan) Rinke. Pat graduated from Romeo High School in 1971. He married the former Janice Teller on March 11, 1978 at St Clement Catholic Church, Romeo. Pat was the Founder/CEO of Blue Water Trucking in Romeo since 1977. Along with his family, they were lifelong members of St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo, members of the Romeo/Washington Chamber of Commerce (Selected business of the year in 2012), and former member of the Romeo Kiwanis. His love of life was his family, especially his grandson. His multiple hobbies include his car collection, snowmobiling, and spending time at his house up north. Pat is survived by his wife Jan of Romeo, children: Chad (Kristina) of Washington Twp., Nick (Rebecca) of Armada Twp., and Mary Catherine (Ken Bowers). Also survived by his grandson Patrick along with siblings: Lawrence Rinke of Sterling Heights, Gertie (Richard) Tucker of Bruce Township, and Ray (Jill) Rinke of Virginia. Pat was preceded in death by his sister Jeannette Hare and his parents Lawrence & Catherine. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with burial to follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Donations to Karmonas Cancer would be appreciated.
