Paul A. Kraut

August 5, 1958 — October 30, 2019

Paul A. Kraut, age 61, passed away at Wellbridge of Romeo on October 30, 2019 after courageously battling ALS for over 12 years. Paul was born on August 5, 1958 in Detroit to Norman and Anna Marie (Ponke) Kraut. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1977. Paul worked for over 30 years as an electrician in the automotive industry. Paul made friends wherever he went. He loved to laugh and make jokes. He enjoyed classic cars and collecting Hot Wheels. Paul had an adventurous spirit along with a love of nature and wildlife. He spent his time capturing the beauty in everything from flowers in bloom, autumn leaves, and snow covered trees to sunsets and starry nights. Paul was always eager to share his love of music, particularly rock & roll and jazz. Most of all, Paul loved his family and friends. Paul is survived by children Michael (Ashley) Kraut of Shelby and Emily (Timothy) Kiester of Clarkston; siblings Ken (Monica) Kraut, Gordon (Diane) Kraut, Marilyn (Tim) Youngquist, Martin Kraut, Lorraine (Jeff) Stogsdill and Randy Kraut; and grandchildren Lyla and Baby boy Kraut. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you consider a donation to “ALS of Michigan” in remembrance of Paul Kraut. 24359 North Western Highway Suite 100, Southfield MI 48075. www.alsofmichigan.org
