Penny L. Kufta

Penny L. Kufta, age 58, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit. Penny was born December 11, 1950 in Romeo, the daughter of Alfred and Dora (Cole) Falk. Penny married Robert Kufta on August 30, 1969 at St John Lutheran Church of Romeo where she has been a lifelong member. For the last 15 years, Penny has been a bus driver for the Romeo Transportation system. She also loved doing volunteer work. . Her hobbies include sewing and quilting. Penny is survived by her husband Bob of Leonard, children: Kimberly (Steven) Overly of Washington Twp., and Matthew of Chesterfield, Michigan. Also survived by grandchildren Steven, Alexis, & Kendall. Siblings include Donna (Richard) Kage of Dryden and Deanna Van Sant of Romeo. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11 AM at St John Lutheran Church of Romeo with Rev. Mark Evans officiating. Donations to the Karmanos Cancer Institute would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by the Henry M.
