Peter J Lasko

Peter J. Lasko, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Peter was born in 1935, the son of Peter and Mildred (LaPort) Lasko. He married Gertrude Ross in Clinton Township. Peter was a carpenter his whole life. He retired from General Motors at its Tech Center in Warren after 10 years of employment as a carpenter. He was well known in the Romeo/Washington area for his carpentry expertise. He did many remodeling jobs for local families, was an expert cabinet maker, and did side work for many large corporations such as K-Mart & Little Ceasar’s. His love for work was his hobby. Along with his wife, they were long time members of St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. Peter is survived by his wife Gertrude (Ross); children Peter M. (Pat) and Mike W. (Lisa) both of Somerset, Kentucky; grandchildren Paul, Nick, Tasha, & Laura along with great grandchildren Veronica & Tyler. Peter was preceded in death by his brother Edward and sister Dorothy. Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 16 at 1 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with visitation on Friday from 10 AM till the service starts at 1 PM. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery.
