Peter N. Oleskie

Peter N. Oleskie, age 84, a lifelong Shelby Township resident passed away on November 4, 2021 at Troy Beaumont Hospital. Peter was born on June 12, 1937 in Calumet, MI the son of Cyril and Eunice (Curto). Peter married the love of his life Carol (Preston) on July 20, 1957 at the Utica Evangelistic Center. Peter was a Fork Lift Operator for GM for many years, where he eventually retired. He also served his country while in the Marine Corp. Peter loved to fish, hunt, and camp, he was quite the outdoors-men. Peter is survived by his beautiful wife Carol and their children; Debbie (Kevin) of Ray Twp, Nick (Shari) of Addison Twp, Bruce (Danette) of Shelby Township, Elaine (Casimer) Ponus of Clinton Twp. Also Peter’s brother Raymond (Kathy) Oleskie of Shelby. Peter and Carol were also blessed with many grandchildren: John (Kim) Kerr, Jeremy (Jay) Kerr, Austin(Meghan) Oleskie, Alyssa (Mike) Richardson, Brandon (Jessica) Oleskie, Jaclynn (Anthony) Goucher, Miranda (Scott) Oleskie, Cierra (Scott) Snoeck, Rebecca Oleskie, and Casimer Ponus. Great grandchildren; Colton, Everett, Vincent, Vivian, Harper, Eva, and Finn. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday November 10, 2021 at 11am at the Momentum Christian Church (58956 Van Dyke Road, Washington Twp, 48094). Visitation will take place on Tuesday November 9, 2021 at The Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home from 2-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, because family and his church was important to Pete the Oleskie family would like contributions sent to The Youth Group Monument Church.
