Phyllis J. Kreger, age 90, a resident of Ray Township, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Phyllis was born November 23, 1926 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the daughter of Robert J. and Mildred M. (Miller) Rosso. She married Arnold J. Kreger at the First Methodist Church in Romeo on October 15, 1948. After graduating from Mt. Clemens High School, she worked after WWII at Selfridge Air Base in a clerical position for a couple of years. She then worked at the Register of Deeds office in Mt Clemens for over 40 years, retiring in 1992 as the Chief Deputy of Registered Deeds. For many years, along with her family, she was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church of Armada. Her hobbies were many and diverse. Phyllis enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, playing bingo, taking trips with the Ray Township Senior Citizens, spending time with her pets, especially Shadow & Cuddles, but mostly just being around her children and grandchildren attending their sporting events. She also, along with her family, loved to spend time at their cabin in Johannesburg, Michigan. Phyllis is survived by her sons James of Ray Township and Jerry (Kym) Kreger of Armada. Also, Phyllis is survived by grandchildren Chris, Kelli (Josh) LaFalce, and Kyle (Renee). Great grandchildren include Andrea Kreger and Levi LaFalce. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, brother Frederick Rosso, and husband Arnold (November 26, 1990). Funeral services, officiated by Chaplain Allan Ranusch, will take place on Tuesday, October 3 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo. Visitation will take place on Monday from 3-8 PM.
