Phyllis M. Werderman, age 91, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at her home. Phyllis was born April 7, 1928 in Rogers City, Michigan, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Kortman) Hopp. She married Edwin Werderman on June 24, 1950 at St John Lutheran Church in Romeo. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2013. Phyllis loved crocheting her rag rugs and volunteering at St John Lutheran Church where she assisted with funeral luncheon’s and teaching Sunday School. She also enjoyed spending time at their cabin up north. Her true love of life was family, especially her many grandchildren & great grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her children: Brian (Philomena) of Sterling Heights, Kathy of Romeo, and Corbin of Romeo. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and siblings: Larry Hopp & Glenn (Karen) Hopp both of Washington Twp. and Jeff (Sandy) Hopp of Romeo. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Edwin and son Keith Werderman. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 11 am at St John Lutheran Church of Romeo with burial to follow at the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
