Rachel M. Rigole

Rachel M. Rigole, age 94, a former resident of Macomb Township for many years, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Advantage Living Center in Armada, MI. Rachel was born October 14, 1926 in Belgium, the daughter of Leo J. and Clara (DeSaele) Tyteca. She married Alfons Rigole on February 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2006. Along with her family, they were vegetable farmers in Sterling Heights for many years. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, helping out her children & grandchildren, and enjoying family dinners. She is survived by her two children: Roger (Kara) Rigole of Armada and Annie (Elston) Colvert of Washington Township. Grandchildren surviving include Jennifer (Richard) Siemen of Harbor Beach, Matthew (Catherine) Rigole of Columbus Twp., Andrea (Bryan) Kingman of Armada, Amy Taveras of North Carolina, John (Margaret) Colvert of Ohio, and Susan (Andrew) Stratton of North Carolina. Also survived by 16 great grandchildren and her sister Maria Vinckier of Belgium. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 30 at 10 AM at St Isidore’s Catholic Church (18201 23 Mile Road, Shelby Township, MI. 48042). She will be instate from 9:30 until mass starts. A burial will follow at Davis Cemetery in Ray Township. Visitation will take place on Friday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. (11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo Michigan 48065)
