Raymond J. Hug, age 62, a resident of Romeo since 1980 and formerly from Macomb Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his home. Ray was born February 11, 1951 in Detroit, the son of Harvey J. and Virginia (Seefelt) Hug. He married the former Thelma Hayden on July 9, 1971 in Fraser, Michigan. Ray worked in computers his entire life, until till health reasons made him retire. He worked as a data base engineer for EDS and Chrysler Corp.. He was a graduate of Fraser High School and his hobby was doing all types of wood working and restoration. Ray is survived by his wife Thelma of Romeo, children: Elizabeth Hug of Armada & Kelsey Hug of Romeo and grandchildren Nickolas, Kylie, & Michela. . Also survived by his father Harvey of Clinton Township and siblings: Karen (Paul) Kemp of Clinton Township, Marilyn Kahila of Harrisville, Michigan, Susan Hug of Port Sanilac, Michigan, and Harvey (Cris) Hug of Shelby Township. Funeral services will take place on Saturday September 14, 2013 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Rev. Gary R. Glanville of Romeo United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be on September 13, 2013 from 4-8 at the Henry M. Malbrug Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Romeo Cemetery.
