Raymond W. Schocke, age 79, a 57 year resident of the Almont area, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy. Raymond was born September 26, 1930 in Oxford, Michigan, the son of Frank and Emma (Engel) Schocke. He married the former Peggy Prahl on February 28, 1953 at the Lutheran Church in St Clair, Michigan. His whole life was spent being a dairy farmer on his Almont area farm. He belonged to the Michigan Farm Bureau, enjoyed electronics and collecting toy tractors. Raymond is survived by his wife Peggy, daughter: Julie (Patrick) Vanlerberghe of Almont along with grandchildren Josh & Jessica. Also survived by siblings: Elton (Delia) Schocke of Imlay City, Harold (Edith) Schocke of Capac, Marian Campbell of Attica, and sister-in-law Mary Ann Schocke also of Almont. Raymond was preceded in death by siblings: Clarence, Fred, Franklin, Charles & Wilma. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home (11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo) with Rev. Eric Majeski of Grace Lutheran Fellowship of Romeo officiating. Burial to follow at the Ferguson Cemetery in Almont. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 3-8 PM. Visitation: Thursday 3- 8 PM Services: on Friday at 11 AM at the Henry M.
