Reverend James A. Rogan Sr.

Reverend James A. Rogan Sr., age 76, a lifelong resident of Romeo, Michigan, passed away on Monday, September 24 at Beaumont Hospital of Troy. James was born September 15, 1942 the son of Luther and Dorothy Rogan. He married the late Elizabeth (Lothery) on September 9, 1961. James worked for General Motors for 13 years and was a minister for over 30 years. He loved to fish, hunt, garden, watch sports and spend time with family and friends. James is survived by his son James Rogan Jr. of Detroit, daughter Veretta (Edward) Mahone of Mount Clemens, grandchildren Edward Jr., Alicia, Louis, James (Ariana), Elizabeth, Christopher, Guy, Joy, and James. Great-grandchildren Jeremiah, Isaiah, Blake, Zach, Laniya, Kamari, and Liam. Siblings, Rosemary (Herman) Washington, Debra Gibson, Patricia (Leonard) Compton, John Rogan, Robert Rogan. James was preceded in death by his loving wife Elizabeth, daughter Rebecca, granddaughters Angelica Rogan and Marisa Wilson. Siblings, Betty Brown, Luther Rogan, Herbert Rogan, William Rogan. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11 AM at the Romeo United Methodist Church Romeo, Michigan (280 North Main Street Romeo, MI 48065). Visitation will be on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 3-8 at the First Church of God (230 Mussey Street Romeo, MI 48065). Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
