Richard A. Lane

Richard A. (Dick) Lane, age 84, a 7 year resident of Port Huron and previously from Lakeville, MI., passed away at his home on Thursday, May 7, 2015. Dick was born October 3, 1930 in Detroit, the son of Arval and Tina (Tolliver) Lane. He married Dallas Krueger in 1974 at the Unity Church in Detroit. Dick worked for Ford Motor Company for 40 years at its plants on Mound Road in Warren, MI and retired from its axle plant in Sterling Heights, MI in 1995. His hobbies included boating, golfing, going to casino’s, playing cards, and traveling. Dick is survived by his wife Dallas, children: Richard (Lyndi) Lane of Shelbyville, KY., Sandra (Daniel) Sokolnicki of Oxford, MI., Laura (Christopher) Knuth of Yale, MI., Donald Lane of Lakeville, MI., Virginia (Deiter) Altz of Allenton MI., and Rachelle (Mark) Lamberson of Memphis, MI. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his sister, Donna Mortier. Dick was preceded in death by his siblings: Doug, Howard, Bob, Marvin, Doris, and Mary Lou. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 9 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo, MI, with burial to follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 PM. Donations to Karmanos Cancer Center would be appreciated.
