Richard D. Pfeil, age 77, of Romeo passed away on Thursday May 10, 2018 at Wellbridge of Romeo. Richard was born on September 9, 1940 the son of Joseph and Lucille (Gareau) Pfeil. Richard married Cindy S. Rees on September 26, 1964 at St Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica and she preceded Richard in death on June 1, 2010. After serving in the U.S. Marines for 3 years, Richard started working in the supermarket business leading Chatham Supermarket in many critical positions. After retirement, he was the owner/operator of distribution of bake goods in the Metropolitan area for many years. Richard also worked at the Romeo Golf Course in the clubhouse for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, gambling, and watching his many grandchildren's activities. Dick is survived by his children Jennifer (Dave) Brown of Washington Township and Adam (Lisa) Pfeil of Romeo along with grandchildren: Brandy (Seth) Fetty, Felicia (Jeff) Cooper, Brent (Jordan) & Ben (Sara) Brown, and Paxton & Joelle Pfeil. Great grandchildren include Rielee, Ryann, Landen, Cullen, Baylon, Rowan, Finley, Callum, Emmett, and Sawyer. His brother Walt (Dee) Pfeil of Lanbertville, MI. survives and he is preceded in death by his brother Bill Pfeil & infant sister Mary. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 16 at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 and on Tuesday from 2-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo. Donations to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the Parkinson’s Foundation would be appreciated.
