Richard E. Hacke

Richard E. Hacke, age 81, a 26 year of Washington Township and previously from Sterling Heights, MI., passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Richard was born June 7, 1939, the son of Lucian and Mae P. Hacke. He married Linda Larsen on June 16, 1973 in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. After graduating from Catholic Central High School, Richard enlisted in the Army and served a 2 year term. After his military service, Richard started working for the railroads where he spent one year and then started working for General Motors at the GM Building in Detroit. He then worked 36 years for GM, retiring in 2003 at a Logistics Manager at the GM Tech Center in Warren. Upon retirement, Richard enjoyed going to High School reunions, biking, keeping his checkbook nice & neat and being on his computer googling. Richard is survived by his wife Linda, son Roy C. (Denyse) of Applegate, MI., grandchildren, Kaleb, Taiton, Gavin, & Seth and one brother Robert, his wife (Shirley) of Washington, MI. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 3 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with a private burial to take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 25 from 1-3 PM. Donations to the Karmonos Cancer Center, or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
