Richard E. Locke

Richard E. Locke, age 87 a resident of Detroit and Sterling Heights passed away on Wednesday October 29, 2014 at Angelicas Place Romeo, Michigan. Richard was born on March 2, 1927 the son of Hazen and Thelma (King). Richard married Patricia Walters May 1, 1949 in Bowling Green, Ohio and she preceded him in death in 1994. He then married Patricia Bedker and she also preceded him in death 2002. Richard worked for the family business that was started in 1937 called “Locke Lumber”. He loved to help people, work, and was a very caring person. Richard is survived by his children Donna (Tim) O’Hara of Bruce Twp., Denise (Joe) Ventimiglia of Bruce Twp., and Michael (Laura) Locke of Texas. Daughter in law Candy. Also, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Danny in 2004. Funeral services will take place on Saturday November 1, 2014 at 10 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Russ Morgan officiating. Visitation will be on Friday October 31, 2014 from 2-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Resurrection Cemetery Clinton Twp., Mi. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Seasons Hospice Visitation: Visitation will be on Friday October 31, 2014 from 2-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
