Richard M. Dickson

Richard Marvin Dickson, age 84, a 30 year resident of Lenox Township, passed away at McLaren Lapeer Hospital on March 17, 2022. Richard was born on April 8, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of John R. and Maude (Hatcher) Dickson. Richard worked for many years as a meat cutter at Alexander and Polen Meat Market. In 1979, Richard married Marlene Winters in Richmond, Michigan. Richard was a member of Grace Community Church for over 50 years, where he was a very active member. He was also a Marine Veteran. Richard enjoyed golfing, woodworking, remodeling, and was a handyman. He loved his dog, Beau. Richard is survived by his loving wife Marlene, children, Mark (Dee) Dickson of South Dakota, Dawn (Dean) Pilat of China, Michigan, Shirley (Scott) Page of North Branch, Laura (Mike) Ingalls of Almont, and Jeffrey (Greta) Morton of Romeo. He is also survived by his father n' law Calvin Winters, brother Robert (Holly) Dickson of Port St. Lucy, and grandchildren Stephanie (Trevor) Schubert, Molly (Chase) Olson, Dean (Becky) Pilat, Mitchell (Christina) Pilat, Justin (Tiffani) Zisler, Tyler Zisler, Parker Zisler, Rachel (Austin) Egres, Lucas Thompson, Curtis Morton, Rae Morton, and Ella Morton, as well as 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 10 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Wise officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 2-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ferguson Cemetery, Almont, Michigan.
