Ricky Roth

Richard (Ricky) N. Roth aRomeo native and resident , age 25 passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the comfort of his home in Washington, Michigan.  Richard better known in the community as Ricky was born February 6, 1991 in Rochester, the son of Richard O. and Pauline (Marrone) Roth. Ricky was a 2009 graduate of Romeo High School, and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Alma College. While attending Alma College Ricky excelled not only in the classroom but on the football field as the captain of the Alma college Scot’s.  Post-graduation Ricky held coaching positions at both Adrian and Alma College.  When Ricky was off of the football field he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He was a well-respected student, leader, and coach and loved giving his time to anyone in need. Ricky’s greatest love was for his immediate family, friends, and teammates.  He is survived by his father, Richard and mother Pauline, and his brothers, Brian and Charles of Washington, MI, as well as his grandfather Joe and grandmother Fran Marrone of Utica, MI. Funeral services will take place on Friday April 29, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Clement Catholic Church Romeo, Michigan. Visitation will be on Wednesday April 27, 2016 from 4-8 and Thursday April 28, 2016 from 1-8. A Rosary will be said on Thursday April 28, 2016 at 7 PM. Burial will follow at Utica Cemetery. A celebration will take place after the burial at Mike and Lisa McClain’s house which is located at 69321 Pine River Drive, Bruce Twp. Michigan 48065. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ricky Roth Leadership Foundation for the Romeo High School Football team.
