Rita Jean Scroggin

Rita J. Scroggin, age 67 a 34 year resident of Farmington Hills and recently of Imlay City went to be with the lord on July 29, 2020. Rita was born on January 21, 1953 the daughter of Ray and Dorothy (Reading) Haas. She graduated from Bentley High School class of 1971 where she was on the swim team. She married Allan Dale Scroggin of Greencastle Indiana November 2, 1980 at the Lords house in Livonia where they met. Rita was an avid Gardner, liked to crochet, loved to swim and loved her days at the lake. She was an active member at Almont vineyard church where she enjoyed church activities and fellowship with her friends. Rita also volunteered her time weekly at mana food pantry with Almont Vineyard church. Throughout her life Mom was committed to making sure someone always had food on their plate whether it was local or abroad. Throughout the years Rita had many endeavors, but was most proud of her family and the home she created with her husband Al.Rita was a Christian woman of a strong faith always willing to lend a helping hand and a blessing to so many with encouraging words when needed. She was a happy kind lighthearted loving person with a tremendous sense humor full of spontaneity always ready for the next adventure. Rita will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is forever loved. Rita is survived by her loving children; Andrea (Gino) Baggio of Romeo, Katie (Andrew) Gould of Oak Park, Allan Scroggin of Imlay City, Joseph Scroggin of Imlay City, and Matthew Scroggin of Oak Park. Grandchildren: Elijah (Rhyan Ross), Mercedes, Sophia Baggio, Jayms Gould, Symphony Scroggin, Carter and Grace Scroggin, and Great Granddaughter Lana Baggio. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 1 at the Almont Vineyard Church (3835 Van Dyke Almont, MI 48003). Visitation will be from 12 to 1.
