Robert D. Anger

Robert Duane Anger, age 85, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020. Robert was born March 3, 1935 in Romeo, the son of Elgin and Helen (Roeser) Anger. He married Jeanette Faubert on May 31, 1954 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in St Clair Shores, Michigan. Robert was a 1953 graduate of Romeo High School, then served his country in the Army. After spending 4 years in the carpenter’s apprentice school, Bob joined the Carpenter’s Union, Local 983, where he worked for many years and retired in 1994. Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and enjoyed the outdoors. He could be seen many days having coffee with his many friends and relatives, especially at the local McDonalds. Along with his family, they were long time members of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church. Robert is survived by his loving wife Jeanette, children: Annette (Bob) Johnson of Washington Township, Laurie (Keith) Lewis of Armada, Bobby (Sandi) Anger of Romeo, Renee (Tom) Rumph of Armada, Julie (Marty) DePoorter of Allenton, Edward (Mary) Anger of Anchorage, Alaska, Karen (Kevin) Longley of Oxford and Greta (Jeff) Morton of Romeo. Grandchildren include Rachel (Jack) Simon, Kimberly (Brian) Michelsen, Andrew Lewis, Katie (Kyle) Rotarius, Philip (Chelsea) Lewis, Kelly Lewis, Lindsay (Dan) Koss, Kyle Rumph, Stephanie Gaff, Carl Gaff, Cody DePoorter, Olivia Garrett, Skylar (Zan) Butler, McCall Anger, Jacob Longley, Hannah Longley, Nicholas Anger, Bradley Anger, Curtis Morton, Rae Morton, & Ella Morton & great grandchildren Lillian, Vivian, Kate, Colton, Ada, Keagan, Graham.
