Robert J. Aul II, age 70, a lifelong Ray Township resident, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at his home. Bob was born February 7, 1950 in Mt Clemens, the son of Robert J. and Thelma (Osborne) Aul. He graduated from Romeo High School in 1968and then attended Ferris State College.On February 20, 1971he married Donna Stevenson in Washington Township and then joined the Air Force where he served from 1971—1975. After leaving the Air Force Bob began an electronics career. In 1984, he started his own company, DEBAC Electric Scale Supply, Inc. Bob was very active in the Romeo Community. He was a long-time, proud member of the Romeo Kiwanis Club where he was a Past President and Hixon Award Winner. Bob was also a member of the Romeo/Washington Chamber of Commerce,Board member of the Romeo Goodfellows, founding member of the Romeo Elks Club, and a former member of the Washington United Methodist Church. He was well known on the golf league circuit, playing on multiple golf leagues, especially enjoying the Romeo St. John Lutheran League at Heather Hills Golf Course. But, the love of Bob’s life was being with his family & friends, especially watching his grandchildren in their sporting events over the years. Bob is survived by his wife Donna, children: Robert J. III (Mary) Aul of Troy, Amy Aul of Ray, & Christie (Dave) Inwood also of Ray. Grandchildren include David& Emilee Inwoodand Lily Aul. Mother-in Law, Barbara Stevenson, siblings include Linda (James) Duckert, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Horn, Sandra (Jeff) Hopp, Deborah Kadlec, Becky (Syd) Stevenson-Nichols, Lori Babisz & Nancy Hearold along with many nieces & nephews.Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Thelma Aul, Father in law Donald Stevenson, brother-in-law & business partner Dennis Stevenson and nephew Adam Russell. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1-8 PM. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with burial in the Romeo Cemetery. Donations to the Romeo Goodfellows or to the Stephen Fritz Scholarship fund with the Romeo Kiwanis would be appreciated. Due to Covid concerns, masks are mandatory, only 30 people are allowed in each room at a time (we have 2 large chapels). Please limit your visitation stay as we are expecting a large amount of family & friends
