Robert K. Young

Robert K. Young, age 79, a 11 year resident of Romeo and formerly from Arcadia, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.  Robert was born September 4, 1929 in Garrett, Indiana, the son of Lynn and Mildred Young.  Robert retired from the Department of Public Works in Arcadia, Florida working in the water department.  Upon retiring, he moved to Michigan where he worked at the Romeo Golf Course doing maintenance and also at the Romeo Café.  He served his Country during WW II in the Army and belonged to the Striber-McVicar Post #2052 in Romeo and his hobby was fishing.      Robert is survived by his son Daniel L. (Hazel) Young of Romeo and his daughter Sandy of Florida.  Also survived by 5 grandchildren.  Robert was preceded in death by his wife Doreen.     Funeral services were private with burial of ashes to take place at a later date at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.  Arrangements by the Henry M.
