Robert N. Watts, age 75, a 8 year resident of Almont and formerly a 30 year resident of the Romeo area, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the Sanilac County Medical Care Facility in Sandusky, MI. Bob was born March 5, 1933 in Pontiac, MI., the son of Clifford D. and Ruby (Newell) Watts. He married Gloria Riddle on January 25, 1952. Bob worked for the Huron -Clinton Metropolitan Authority for 43 years, starting out in maintenance at the Kensington Park, and then for the last 35 years as the Maintenance Supervisor at Stony Creek Park until his retirement in 1994. Upon retirement, Bob along with his wife Gloria enjoyed traveling and spending time at their vacation home in Hersey, MI. Bob is survived by his wife Gloria of Almont, children: Patti (Brad) Noyes of Utica , Thomas G. Watts of Capac, Leslie Watts of Brown City and daughter-in-law, Linda (Watts) Sorenson of Alabama. Grandchildren include Misty, Matthew, Jay, Joshua, Justin, Zachary, Chelsey, and Jacob. Great grandchildren include Alicia, David, Skylar, Brennen, Paige, Melenie, Maja, Marcus, Hannah, Elijah, & Sophie. Bob was preceded in death by his son Robert Jr. in 1984 and his brother David Daniel Watts in 1995. Memorial services will take place on Saturday, June 7 at noon at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Debra L. Kranz Funeral Service Celebrant officiating. Any donations given will be used to plant a tree in memory of Bob at Stony Creek Park.
