Robert W. Kufta, age 94, a 20 year resident of Macomb, Michigan and formerly from Romeo, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 28, 2012. Bob was born February 14, 1918 in Uniontown, PA., the son of Nicholas and Anna (Cervenak) Kufta. Bob has been married to the former Vivian Gould for over 69 years. After a distinguished military career where he flew over 100 missions as an artillery/liason spotter in the Army/Air Force, Bob came back to Michigan and earned his finance degree from the Detroit Business College and did graduate work at Walsh College, also in Detroit. Upon graduating, he started working as the finance/operations manager while the GM Tech Center was being built and continued to work for GM until retirement in 1980. Upon retirement, he enjoyed spending his winters in Bonita Springs, FL., did extensive traveling with his wife and family, enjoyed golfing, taking care of his house and gardening. Robert W. is survived by his wife Vivian of Macomb, children: Robert B. of Romeo and Kathleen (Mark) Rayman of Ray, MI. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Penny and son-in-law Jerry Wozniak. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 30 at 6 PM with Rev. Mark Evans of St John Lutheran Church of Romeo officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 1-6 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
