Roland W. Graubner, Jr., age 83 a resident of Washington Township since 1959 and previously from Detroit, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Roland was born November 28, 1937 in Monroe, Michigan, the son of Roland and Kathleen (Rettenmier) Graubner. Roland graduated from Cody High School in Detroit, and upon moving to Washington Township, worked at the at the family business “Graubner’s Orchard” (where the Graubner Library not sets) and the Family Time Restaurant for many years. Roland was a longtime member of the Romeo Kiwanis Club, where he was the Sergeant at Arms for the club. His hobbies included watching the Detroit Tigers, loved all type of foods, being a Kiwanian, was a longtime member of the Romeo Congregational Church and going to family parties. Roland is survived by his sister Kathleen (Jim) Eubank of Washington Township, nephew Jimmy Eubank and niece Kathy (Mike) Arcy and their children Michael, Kathryn & Thomas Arcy all of Washington Township. Funeral visitation will take place on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with a 7:30 PM religious service with Rev. Kim Newport of the First Congregational Church of Romeo officiating. Burial will take place at the Powell Cemetery in Washington Township.
