Rolland St. Laurent

Rolland St. Laurent, age 62, a 25 year resident of Romeo and formerly from Sterling Heights, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at his home in Romeo. Rolland was born January 13, 1948 in Windsor, Ontario, the son of Rolland and Mildred (Bovin) St. Laurent. Rolland retired in 2007 as the Supervisor of Transportation/Maintenance at the Farmington School District. Previously, he was the supervisor with SMART transportation. Rolland married the former Linda Coletti on September 20, 1969 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Detroit. Along with his wife and family they are longtime members of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Rolland was the former president of the Romeo DDA and had their house on the Historical Society Home tours for many years. His hobbies included watching Fox News, watching his Red Wings, and working with and restoring all types of wood furniture. But his love of his life was his family, especially his children. He was known as doing anything that Linda needed or wanted and would help her doing any chore that needed done. Rolland is survived by his wife Linda of Romeo, children: Gabrielle (Corey) Lawson of Romeo, Andrea St. Laurent and Daniel St. Laurent also of Romeo. Grandchildren include Jonathon, Heather, Corey, Olivia, & Kendall Lawson. Siblings include Robert (Ali) St. Laurent of Chester, Nova Scotia, Ronald of Canada and his brother in law Paul LaTarte of Royal Oak. Rolland was preceded in death by his parents and sister Denise LaTarte. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with Fr. Steven Reckker officiating. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday & Tuesday at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. A Rosary by the Knights of Columbus, Council # 7018 will take place on Tuesday night at 7 PM. Donations to St John Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation: on Monday and Tuesday from 2-9 PM on Wednesday at St Clement Catholic Church from 9:30 till 10 AM when the Funeral Mass will start Services: Wednesday at 10 AM St Clement Catholic Church 343 S.
