Ronald E. Laseke

Ronald E. Laseke, age 70 of Washington Twp., and formerly from Almont, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Ron was born Sept. 11, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Edward and Ruth(Godfrey) Laseke. Ron married the former Becky Dobson in 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ron retired from Ford Motor Company after 44 1/2 years of employment in 2003 in management at the Ford Axle Plant in Sterling Heights. He served his country in the Marines, belonged to the Romeo United Methodist Church and his hobbies included reading, helping to deliver “Meals on Wheels”, and he also helped local cancer patients with their transportation needs. Ron is survived by his wife Becky of Washington Twp., sons: Greg (Vicki) of Addison Twp and Steve (Jennifer) of Washington Twp. Grandchildren include Jordan & Shelby Laseke and Rachel & Alexandra Leas. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 11 AM at the Romeo United Methodist Church with Rev. John Grenfell officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-5 & 6-9 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo, Michigan. Donations to the American Cancer would be appreciated. Visitation: Wednesday from 2-5 & 6 - 9 PM Services: Thursday at 11 AM at the Romeo United Methodist Church. church is located just 1/4 mile north of the light on Van Dyke on the east side. (On the west side is the Congregational Church)
