Ronald Harold Schindehette Profile Photo

Ronald Harold Schindehette passed away on March 1, 2025 after a brief illness. Ronald was born on August 30th, 1939 to Clarence and Rose Schindehette of Detroit, Michigan.

He attended Washington Elementary and graduated from Lincoln High School in Warren. After a successful high school internship at the City of Warren, Ron went on to work in the tax department, then the assessing department where he retired at 50. He also worked in a similar capacity in Bruce, Lenox and Whitney Townships.

As a confirmed member of Trinity Lutheran, Center Line, Ron was a faithful churchgoer and choir member. When he moved up north to Prudenville, he became an active and highly regarded member of the Houghton and Higgins Lake Elks Lodge. An avid outdoorsman, Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and golfing in the company of good friends.

Ron is preceded in death by his wife of 22 years, Sharon Schindehette (ne’e Purcer). He is survived by his first wife Katherine Caruso, his daughters Kimberly Collins and Katherine Gordon, and his loving grandchildren Christopher Collins and Bonnie Gordon. Also survived by brother Walter and preceded by brother Robert.

We will remember him for his tenacity, his penchant for a neatly trimmed front yard and his perpetual contentment whenever in the out-of-doors.

Donations to his favorite charity, Camp Fish Tales, would be greatly appreciated. https://campfishtales.org/donate/
