Rose Marie Zichichi

Rose Marie Zichichi (Stojanovich) transitioned May 30 (Memorial Day), 2016 peacefully in her sleep. Rose Marie was born in Detroit, MI on January 20, 1933, the daughter of Nick and Ann (Thomas) Stojanovich. She graduated from Pershing High School, and worked as a bookkeeper. She loved to roller-skate, bowl, golf, gamble, bring home stray cats and go for her first summer swim every Memorial Day. She believed it was her commitment to swim on that date that impressed Charles Vito Zichichi whom she married, June 25, 1955. She and Chuck solely and with partners built several businesses together: Ti-Coating, Inc, CRZ Development Company, Vac Met,Inc, and Applied Thermal Technologies, Inc. She preferred warm weather during winter and was blessed to live in Bonita Springs, Florida with Chuck for over 20 years. She enjoyed collecting rocks and golfballs (pearls) with her long-time friend Lynne, enjoyed weekly lunches with her sons and was blessed in her last year with the arrival of her caregiver and new found friend, Tanya. Over the course of their life together, Rose and Chuck also lived in Warren, Jackson, Shelby Township and Washington Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Vito Zichichi. She is survived by her four children, Mary Jo Kage (Larry), Kimberly Barraco (Antonio), William Zichichi (Michelle), and Nick Zichichi (Kristin); as well as six grandchildren, Christen, Jocelyn, Samantha, Jacqueline, Carolyn, and Charlie; and her sisters Angie Ciofu (late Virgil), and Diana McCarthy (Kirk). A Memorial Service will take place on June 2, 2016 from 11-1 at Ristorante Piccirilli located at 52830 Van Dyke Ave, Utica, MI 48316 .
