Roselea B. Dering, age 83, a 50 year resident of Romeo passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at her home. Roselea was born March 12, 1927 in Detroit, the daughter of Harvey and Margaret (Lewis) Carson. She married Frank Dering in 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1977. Roselea worked for 25 years at L & L Products in Romeo as an assembler until retirement in 1988. Before being married, she worked at the Better Made Potato Chip company in Detroit. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking for all her family & friends. Roselea was also a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Romeo. Roselea is survived by her children: Matt (Sue) Dering & Tim (Linda) Dering both of Rochester, MI., Martha (Eric) Stirnemann & her daughter in law Janet Dering both of Romeo. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and her sister Marlene Behringer of Romulus, MI. She was preceded in death by her son Nathan on December 25, 2009. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with burial to follow at the Romeo Cemetery.
