Ruby D. Murphy

Ruby Murphy, age 89, passed away on April 2, 2012 at “My Home” in Lapeer, MI. Ruby was born in Philadelphia, MS on July 24, 1922. She married William Murphy in 1940. Ruby worked for the United States Post Office for many years. She was an avid quilter and very involved in her church North Goodland Baptist Church. Ruby is survived by her two children: Willis (Janet) Murphy of Almont and Rudy (Gay) Murphy of Romeo; 5 grandchildren, Robin (Allen) Hester, Jamie (Glenn) Murphy, Keith (Kelly) Murphy, Todd (Wendy) Murphy, and Melanie (Eric) Berger; 11 great grandchildren, Joshua (Haley), Tina (Lance), Colin, Alexis Ruby, Nickolas, Demetrius, Victoria, Mitchell, Max, Kerigan, and Tyler. Also one great great grandchild Emmaline. Ruby is also survived by her siblings: Sam, Billie, Charles, Martha and Jean. She was preceded in death by her husband William in 2007. Funeral time T.B.D. Visitation will be Monday April 9 from 2-5. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hartland Hospice. Visitation: Monday April 9, 2012 2-5PM Services: T.B.D. Interment: Private
