Ruth Kloock

Ruth Kloock, age 92, a lifelong resident of Romeo passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital, in Michigan.

Ruth was born October 23, 1930 in Leonard, Michigan, the daughter of Clifford and Dorothy (Hagedorn) Compton. She married Marvin H. Kloock on February 14, 1953 at St John Lutheran Church in Romeo. Ruth worked as a nurse’s aide at the Community Hospital in Almont and worked at Blackett’s Flowers in Romeo & Utica. Ruth enjoyed traveling, quilting, playing pinochle, and attending exercise classes with good friends at the Washington Township Senior Center. She loved her birthday outdoor “work day”, serving sloppy joes at the Peach Festival party she hosted every year, her family, and her extended circle of friends.

Ruth is survived by her husband Marvin, children Nadine (Bill) Mott of Rochester Hills, Mark (Rachel) Kloock of Shelby Township, Stacey (Bob) Bozynski of Waterford, and Scott (Jessica) Kloock of Saranac, MI. Also survived by 12 grandchildren & 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Edgar, & sister in law Betty Compton of Romeo and sister Dorothy Tyler of Grand Rapids.

Visitation will be on Thursday October 27, 2022 from 3-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo, Michigan. Funeral services will take place on Friday October 28, 2022 at 11 AM at St John Lutheran Church of Romeo with Pastor Darcy Reis officiating. Burial will take place at the Great Lakes Veteran Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at a later date.
