Ruth M. Ball

Ruth M. Ball, age 89, a long time resident of the Romeo area, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Ferguson Nursing Facility in Lapeer. Ruth was born September 30, 1920 in Almont, the daughter of George and Edna (Austin) Schunk. Ruth worked at the Utica Trim Plant for 30 years before retiring in 1999. She previously worked many years at the Mt Clemens Pottery. Ruth enjoyed all types of crafts and painting. Ruth is survived by grandchildren William, Ryan, Chelsea, Chandler, and Charlie her nephews Dennis (Diane) Morris of Shelby Twp. & Ron (Judy) Morris of Fort Gratiot and niece Cheryl (Fred) Cardinali of Clinton Twp. Also survived by her special friends, Dallas & Aloha Hilton of Romeo. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Ball, son William Ball, stepmother Ida Schunk, brother Alva Schunk, her sister Mary Morris and nephew Don Morris. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at Noon at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Pastor Eric Majeski of Grace Lutheran Fellowship of Bruce Township officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Ferguson Cemetery in Almont Township.
