Sally A. Hill

Sally A. Hill, age 80, a 22 year resident of Otter Lake, Michigan and formerly from Romeo, passed away at Troy Beaumont on Monday February 2, 2015. Sally was born on October 25, 1934 in Ithaca, New York, daughter of William and Gertrude (Patana) Strand. She married the late Andrew J. Hill at her mothers home in Detroit on March 12, 1955. Along with her loving husband in 1970 they took ownership of the Romeo Café, and ran the café until 1992. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking as well as solving puzzles. In her free time she loved watching cooking shows, football and tigers games, and listening to music. She also loved visiting with her neighbors at the lake. Sally is survived by her children; Denise Hill, Andrew J. Hill, II, Karen Bednark and Sandra (Russell) Howell all of Romeo and Pamela Hog of Texas and brothers; Roger (Helen) Strand of Washington, Russell (Ann) Strand of Tennessee, and Bruce (Sarah) Strand of Arizona, and her sister in-laws Karen of Milford, Michigan, Catherine Ives of Romeo, and Margaret Lindley of Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren Serena, Leeann, Annie, and Jaren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Clinton Strand and loving husband Andrew in 2013. Funeral services will take place Sunday February 8, 2015 at 7 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, with Pastor John Waters from River of God Community Church in Romeo, officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 PM until 8 PM.
