Sally Ann Allard

February 15, 1934 — May 6, 2023

Sally Ann Allard, passed away May 6, 2023. She was born February 15, 1934, on the banks of the Mississippi River in the small town of Wickliffe, Kentucky. She was the daughter of James and Wilma Hagood, wife to Robert, mother to Paul, fiance (Rachel) and Jim (Maria) and grandmother to Elise, Anna, Isaac, Valerie, Violet and Sarah. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Washington.

Sally loved where she was from, Kentucky. She spent many summers visiting relatives in the bluegrass state. She always had a smile on her face as we passed over the Ohio River and seeing the sign that read “Welcome to Kentucky”. She especially loved the Kentucky Derby and passed away the morning of the derby this year.

Sally loved music and especially Bluegrass, Country, and Elvis. She was a huge influence on her two boys and encouraged them to play guitar. She loved to listen to them play in bands throughout the years. Even when her dementia got worse, she would always ask them to play her “Sweet Home Alabama”.

Sally loved to sketch and design outfits. All her drawings were of the same lady, not coincidence they looked like her, usually drawn with big hair and red lip stick. As the dementia progressed, she would somedays sit make drawings all day.

In lieu of a local funeral, Sally will be cremated and buried in the Wickliffe Cemetery at the foot of her mother and father and will eternally rest in her beloved state of Kentucky.

Local Arrangements made by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI.
