Samie Love Hiller

Samie Love Hiller, age 84, of Romeo, passed away on Thurs., Feb. 19, 2009 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Samie was born on Feb 21, 1924 in Alma Georgia, the daughter of Lemual and Carolyn (Hilton) Williams. She married Donald Trombley in 1946 and he preceded her in death 1977 and then married Ollen Hiller who also preceded her in death. Samie was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Striber-McVicar Post # 2052, the Disabled American Veterans at the Shelby Twp. Post and also helped with the “Meals on Wheels” in the Romeo/Washington area. She was also a member of the Washington United Methodist Church. She is survived by her four children, James (Lyn) Trombley of Pleasanton, California, Barbara Lynn (Michael) Werley, of Leesport, PA., Diane (Richard) Kociuk of Windsor, Ontario and Donna (Glenn) Parker of Armada . Grandchildren include Carolyn, Chad, Kelly, Bret, Erika, Yvonne, Shaun, & Tracy. Also survived by 8 step-grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. Siblings include Lemual (Jr.) (Era) Williams of Florida, Hampton Causey William (Winifred), Vaunice Williams, Robert Williams, and Carol of Georgia. Funeral services will take place on Mon, Feb. 23 at 11 AM at the Henry  Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Cheryl Mancier of the Washington United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will take place on Sat. from 5-9 and on Sunday from 1-9 with a 7 PM Ladies Auxiliary service.
