Sandra A. Hamlin

Sandra A. Hamlin, age 57, a resident of Center Line since 2014 and formerly from Macomb Township/Romeo area passed away on Sunday January 1, 2017.  Sandra was born February 7, 1959 in Mt Clemens, the daughter of Duaine and Darlene (Bader) Hamlin.  Sandra graduated from Romeo High School in 1977 and then went to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Wayne State University.  For many years, she was a substitute teacher in the Macomb/Oakland County area schools.  Sandra most recently worked as a dietary aide in Sterling Heights.  She was artistically inclined, where she was well known for her oil, watercolors, and pencil drawings. Along with her family, they were longtime members of St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo.        Sandra is survived by her children:  Dominic Ulisse of Ann Arbor and Angelina & Antonio Ulisse both of Romeo.  She is survived by her mother Darlene Hamlin of Romeo along with siblings:  Dr. Angela Hamlin of Rochester, MI., Joan Wiegand of Shelby Twp., Diane (Nevin) Zolenski of Grand Rapids, and Nicole (Mike) Chandanais of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Also, survived by former husband Ted Ulisse and many loving nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her father Duaine Hamlin on April 10, 1995.      Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo.  Visitation will be on Thursday, January 5 from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Network at donate.hopenetwork.org.
