Sandra J. Richie

Sandra J. Richie, age 79, a resident of Romeo since 1992, and formerly from Detroit, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Sandra was born March 20, 1941 in Detroit, the daughter of Vernon & Dorothy (Wysocki) Lindemoen. She married Owen Richie on November 17, 1962 at St Jude’s Catholic Church in Detroit. Sandra got her Bachelor’s Degree from Wayne State University and then earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Detroit Mercy. She then taught at the Waldorf School in Detroit for many years. Sandra then went to Holy Cross Hospital and became a respiratory therapist and she then worked in California for a couple of years as a therapist before moving back to Michigan. Along with her family they were long time members of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo, where she taught catechism for over 20 years. Her hobbies include gardening, saying the rosary and being with her many friends making and distributing rosaries to any one that needed them. Sandra is survived by her husband Owen, children: Mark (Maria) Richie of Rochester Hills, Adarsa Antares of Ferndale, and Laura Robinson of Sterling Heights. Also survived by grandchildren Kyle & Dana Robinson and her sister Betty (Joe) Tocco of California. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with burial to follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. Visitation will take place on Monday from 2-8 PM at the Henry M.
