Sharon Ann Owens

Sharon Ann Owens, age 82, a Romeo resident for 52 years, passed away on November 10, 2024 at Henry Ford Hospital. Sharon was born on September 29, 1942, daughter of Richard and Ann (Minto) Roland.

Sharon was known for loving the outdoors, maintaining her yard, gardening, and creating and maintaining a small goldfish pond in her backyard. She also loved yarn crafts and was willing to knit or crochet beautiful items including sweaters, afghans and socks for friends and family.

Sharon loved her grandchildren and was always willing to invite them for sleepovers for special treatment . She always made sure that each grandchild felt special and loved on their birthdays and during the holiday season.

For a number of years, Sharon raised and showed shelties. She was diligent about their care and grooming, and spent many weekends attending dog shows where her dogs received numerous awards.

Sharon is survived by her sons, Richard (Gina) Owens of St. Clair, and Jason (Christa) Owens of Romeo, sister-n-law Rosalie Roland, Grandchildren, Saralyn, Vincent, Alexander, and Jessica, as well as multiple nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ann, and brother Richard.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 11-1pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm

Burial immediately following at White Chapel Cemetery (621 W. Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48098).
