Shirley Jane Blonde

Shirley Jane Blonde, age 75, a resident of Shelby Township for 17 years and previously from Washington Township, passed away in Shelby Township on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born May 23, 1945 in Mt Clemens the daughter of Earl and Marguerite (Schoenherr) Masters. After graduating from Romeo High School in 1964, she married Rod Blonde on August 8, 1964 at St. Isidore’s Catholic Church in Shelby Twp., and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1997. Shirley worked as a teller/bookkeeper for many years, a teller at the First of American Bank in Washington and then with her sister, Jarvis Accounting in Ray Township as a bookkeeper. She also worked for her special friend Fred Sendek at his company “Michigan Maintenance Coating, Inc”. in Shelby Twp. Shirley’s hobbies included knitting, reading, traveling the world and spending time with her family & friends. Shirley is survived by her daughter Barbara (Scott) Sendek of North Carolina grandchildren Alex Sendek and Savanah Sendek, special friend Fred Sendek, siblings, Kathy (Burt) Berridge, Linda Jarvis, and John (Katie) Masters & sister-in-law Pat Blonde. Nieces & nephews: Kim (Tim) Markel, Steve Berridge, Mike (Analia) Jarvis, Andy (Nicole) Jarvis, Jacob Masters, Dennis Blonde, Lisa (Paul) Ballinger, Renee Blonde, Ken Heiden, Diana Heiden, Jim Heiden, and John Roth Jr. She will be missed by her great nieces: Carinne, Abby, Kayla, Alexis, McKenzie, Avery, and Haley. Shirley was also preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Blonde and son Steven Joseph, sister-in-law Audrey Roth and brother-in-law Fred Blonde. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with visitation to take place on Thursday from 2-7. Burial will take place at Davis Cemetery in Ray Township.
