Shirley M. Trott, age 90, a lifelong Romeo resident, passed away at Vista Springs Washington Place Assisted Living in Washington Township on Monday, December 7, 2020. Shirley was born to Allen and Mabel (Engel) Terry on October 2, 1930, on the family farm on 29 Mile Road in Washington Township. Shirley was a loving mom and working mother, including employment at the Romeo Golf and Country Club, in accounting at Interpace Corporation, and as an accountant 25+ years at TRW Vehicle Safety Systems, retiring in 1996.From bowling, golfing, playing cards, TRW,spending winters in Eustis, FLand attending Grace Lutheran Fellowship in Bruce Township, Shirley enjoyed many dear friendships developed throughout her lifetime. Shirley loved her family dearly, and is fondly remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, her caring heart and her radiant smile. Shirley is survived by her daughter Paula Coon, her son Jeffrey (Louise) Trott, both of Romeo; grandchildren Ryan (Brianna) Coon of Kalamazoo, Dayna (Josh) Rodriguez of Ray Township, Stephen (Autumn) Weil of Charlotte, North Carolina, and great grandchildren Ryan Coon Jr. and Eric Rodriguez. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her son Eric Trott, infant son Terry Trott, and brother Almerion (Red) Terry. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 11, from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, Michigan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, at Grace Lutheran Fellowship with visitation at 1PM and funeral service at 2 PM. Pastor Eric Majeski officiating. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 concerns and a desire to protect the people in attendance, the family requestsall visitors observe social distancing and wear a mask.
