Shirley Ann Morgan, 86, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away peacefully in her home on January 15, 2025, surrounded by her beloved daughters. Born in Lansing, Michigan, on August 7, 1938, to parents who instilled in her a deep sense of faith and love, Shirley was the proud and cherished wife of David M. Morgan, whom she married in 1962. She was preceded in death by her husband and all seven of her siblings, but their spirits live on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Shirley worked at Ford Motor Company and dedicated much of her life to raising her family. Above all else, she was devoted to her family and found immense joy in spending time with them. Shirley was a woman of strong faith, and her love for God and family was the foundation of her life. She deeply cherished the memories of family trips to Tennessee and visits to "The Cross in the Woods" in Indian River, Michigan, as well as her love for country music.
Shirley leaves behind her four daughters and their families, who were the pride and joy of her life:
Shirley’s family is comforted in knowing that she has been reunited with her loving husband David in heaven. Her abundance of love, laughter, and the memories she made with each one of us will be deeply missed. We are so grateful that she had the chance to know and love her great-grandchildren.
As we say our goodbyes, we take comfort in the words of Scripture: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” – Matthew 5:4
In Shirley's memory, we celebrate the joy she brought to all of us, and we rest in the hope of her eternal peace.
