Slava Kokotovich

Slava Kokotovich, age 97, a resident of the Detroit area, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Campbell Personal Care Home in Leonard, Michigan. Salva was born in Gospic, Croatia, on October 13, 1912, the daughter of Ivica and Matija (Frkovic) Brkljacic. She married Nicola Kokotovich on November 25, 1930 and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2007. Slava was a homemaker her entire life and enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Slava is survived by her children: Katherine (Lawrence) Puz, Michel (Sandra), Ivan (Stephanie), and Nick (Dorothy) Kokotovich. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and her brother Ivica (Dragica) Brkljacic. Salva was preceded in death by her grandson Keith. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 10 AM at St Lucy’s Catholic Church in Troy. Burial will follow at 1 PM at the White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Arrangements by the Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin and the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, Michigan. Visitation: on Thursday from 3-9 PM Services: on Thursday at 7 PM.
