In Loving Memory of Solomon John Bell

On July 15, 2023, at 10:39 PM Solomon was peacefully called home to be with the Lord. Born in Hartford, Connecticut on February 28, 1960, Solomon was the son of Robert Albert Bell and Meredith Elaine Bell.  The seventh of ten children Solomon relocated to Detroit, MI in 1972.  He was educated and graduated from Pershing High School and grew into a young man of Christ.  Solomon went on to work as an Executive Assistant with Comerica Bank where he retired. Solomon became an ordained minister and went on to minister and eventually pastored congregates for some time.

Solomon wore this faith in the Lord as beacon for all to see and would share the goodness of God at every opportunity.  A member of River of God in Romeo, MI. He enjoyed participating and volunteering as often as possible. Solomon encouraged and supported visitors with an open and full heart until the moment he passed away.

Solomon is survived by his eldest brother Roland Bell and his two sisters Linda Bell Henry, Meredith Olivier, sister-in-law Marian King-Bell, his devoted friend Carl Fletcher and a host of nieces and nephews to carry on his loving memory.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, Robert and Meredith Bell, siblings Robert Bell, Jr., Albert Bell, Sarah Jones, Rodney Bell, William Bell, and Charles Bell.

We will be celebrating his home going on Sunday, July 23, 2023.  Family visitation will be held at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home (11280 32 Mile Road in Romeo, MI) from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Visitation for all, will begin from 1- 3 PM with a Service beginning at 2:00. A Repass will follow at The River of God Church, located at (230 East St. Clair Street, Romeo, MI) at 4:00 PM.

Knowing that he would never leave his loved ones, he would simply say, Bye for now….
