Sophie A. Conway

Sophie A. Conway, age 86, a 48 year resident of Romeo, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Pine Meadows Assisted Living in Armada.  Sophie was born in 1921 in West Virginia, the daughter of William and Lillian Leszkiewicz.  She married Lee Conway in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1986. Along with her husband and family, they owned and operated Alco Plastics  in Romeo. Sophie was also active with the First Baptist Church in Romeo where she helped out with the youth groups.  She was also involved with the Romeo Senior Citizens.     Sophie is survived by her children, Barbara (Tim) Hogan of Romeo, Audrey (Bill) Kimball of TN., Kathy (Toby) Bremmeyr of Petosky, MI., and Dan (Cathy) Conway of Romeo.  Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and her sister Irene Parks.  She was preceded in death by her brothers Ted Leszkiewicz of Warren, MI., and Ed Leszkiewicz of Texas.      Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 13 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Romeo with Rev.
