Stanley Thomas Brown

Stanley Thomas Brown, age 88, a resident of St. Augustine, Florida since 1994 passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Flagler Hospital prior to moving to St. Augustine, Stanley lived in Inkster, Michigan then Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Stanley was born at home on September 3, 1929 in Inkster to Francis L. Brown and Ila Marie (Brandenburg). He was a member at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Westland, Michigan, then Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Augustine, Florida. Stanley lived in the Moultrie Oaks Retirement Community in St. Augustine Florida and enjoyed participating in community events such as exercise class and weekly barbecue luncheons. He loved the bicycle holiday parades. Stanley is survived by his sister in law Florence V. Brown of Flager Beach Florida; his nieces Alice Marie Cyr and her children Jonathan (Kristy) Cyr and their children Noah and Claire; Amy Marie (Steven) Gauss and their children Paul and Rebecca Marie; Mary Smith and her son Matthew; and a nephew Gary (Paula) Adamson. Stanley was preceded in death by his sisters, Marjorie Ila Brown, Alberta Ruth and her husband, Norman Adamson and his brother Donald and his first wife, Lieslotte Brown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Augustine, Florida or the Prostrate Cancer Foundation. A Memorial Service will be held at Henry M. Malburg Funeral home on April 21 at 11am.
