Steve F. Shaltz

Steven F. Shaltz, age 51, passed away June 11, 2012, unexpectedly at his home in Washington Twp., MI. He was born June 24, 1960, in Ontonagon, MI. Steve graduated from Romeo High School Class of 78’ and attended Wayne State University where he earned a Masters Degree in Secondary Education. He taught Philosophy and Advanced Placement World History at Rochester Adams High School where he was also a Wrestling and Track Coach. Steve was an avid reader, loved sports, and even held stock in the Green Bay Packers. Steve is survived by his daughter Caroline Shaltz of Rochester, MI; his mother Marion Shaltz of Romeo; and his brother Tom(Carol) Shaltz of New Hudson, MI; his niece Michaela and nephew William. He was preceded in death by his father Warren Shaltz in 1994. Funeral services will take place on Thursday June 14, 2012 at 5 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI.
